Well, we only got to talk for a minute, but right off the bat, Kristen doesn't seem to remember anything...or so she says. I didn't get into specifics with her, but if it comes up again, I'll let you know. Thanks for all the opinions you guys weighed in with; the majority of you seem to think that something was going on, whereas the more time goes by, I'm starting to think there wasn't...so, for now, pending further news, it'll be back to Kara tomorrow...on the page, at least.

Of course she says she doesn't remember! She was hitting on you, you didn't respond in the way she was hoping for, so now she can hide behind the fact that she was drinking in order to not feel like a complete loser! I don't know any women who would admit that they'd been hitting on you when: A. You didn't reciprocate and B. Had to ask if something was going on because you couldn't figure it out.
Sheesh. Men.
i agree with jaded&opinionated. in her own way, given what you describe of her character, she was hitting on you. yes, lack of inhibitions do bring out the true feelings in someone. however, she may have just been a horny bastard....and her natural assumption of your being physically unattached (although emotionally unavailable, but she didn't know that), as well as your fundamental getting-along-ness with her was a perfect opening for her. it was what it was.
but at the very least, just chalk it up to a nice compliment! you still got it!
I dunno, guys...I really don't. She honestly didn't sound like she had anything up her sleeve. Now, that doesn't nesseccarily mean that she didn't really express her feelings that night, just that she might not remember it happening. I dunno...I'm really inclined to err on the side of caution here. I just dunno...
And to answer an earlier question; no...I can't ask one of her friends really; if it was a few years ago, I could have asked Bess & she would have known, but these days, they've had some problems with secrets between them & she'd just as likely not tell Bess anything that sensitive...and I don't know her other friends very well (they live 12 hours away, as does she).
So, until I talk to her again, I'm gonna try to put it out of my mind, because....well, not because I'm not curious; more like because I've found myself being more curious about it than I might should.
And Jaded...I wouldn't exactly say i didn't respond in the way she was hoping for...assuming that's what she was hoping, which I'm not assuming...
And Joe....I hear ya, but you're not my type...
Kristin was BLATANTLY flirting with you and giving you EVERY chance to respond, but you missed it. Way to shut a girl down :)
That's the brokeback project X...another blog altogether. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
